The Fairview freshman basketball squad ended their season with an impressive 14-2 record and captured both the GMC League and Tournament crowns. The Apache offensive attack was led by Tim Rhodes, who compiled a 12.4 points per game scoring average. He was fol¬ lowed by Craig Haller with an 8 . 5 points per game average and Mark Hiesler who fired in 7 . 6 points a game . Rhodes also led in rebounding, grabbing a total of 133 caroms. Craig Cook and Craig Haller were second and third, each getting 117 and 99 rebounds respectively. G o I f Rookie seasons often prove to be unfruitful , which can be attributed to the number one for on the links - inexperience. The Apache linksmen failed to win a match all season even though there were several outstanding individual performances. The golfers, led by only one upperclassman and composed of many talented Frosh and Sophomores, have the future seasons of experience and success in front of them. Three of these team members were girls who showed marked improvement during the trials of our first season. Highlights of the season were Paul Krausen 's individual and best performance of the team with a round of 45 . Also much excitement and rivalry was initiated in the first annual Varsity- Faculty match. Eyes on the ball , Steve !
