Renz. 73 Wrap-Up The 1972-73 FFA Chapter had a very honorable and prosperous year. This year’s o fficers who led the group were: Mike Rohlf - President, Dan Stevenson - Vice- President, Greg Crites - Reporter, Richard Willitzer - Stu¬ dent Advisor, Jim Spieser - Secretary, Tim Pendleton - Treasurer, and Mike Stecher - Sentinel. Throughout the year we participated in many activities, contests, various meetings and attended State and National Conventions. The FFA provides many opportunities in Crop Production, Ag. Business, Forestry, Mechanics, Electrification, Con¬ servation, and Public Speaking. The BOAC Program, Building our America Communities, is one of the programs sponsored by the National FFA Or¬ ganization in which we take an active part. Our Candy Sales were a big success this year which made it possible to have our annual FFA banquet. Many presentations and awards were handed out to Honorary Mem¬ bers and to Outstanding students. This year ' s Varsity Club has been a very active one. The club sold sweat shirts, spirit jackets, station¬ ery, m ums for Homecoming and license plates. In the Spring the group went to a Detroit - Piston Lakers game at the Cobo Arena. Headed by Pres. Chad Peter, this year’s Student Council was quite active. They had lunch with the Board of Education to discuss the length of boys hair, and girls pant-suits. They also made decisions concerning assemblies for next year and when to or¬ der rings.
