Culler, R. Schindler. GREAT SEASON The Fairview Frosh had a great season this year with ts of excitement and good basketbal l. Fairview won leven of its first twelve games. Losing only to Defiance ith a score of 40-36 in the second game of the season, om then on the Frosh were the team to beat. Only akwood and Ayersville won in an over-time game. The cord acquired was 14 wins and 3 losses. Fairview ended ) with an average of 47 points per game while their ponents were left with a mere 36.5 points. Leading orers were Kevin Appel with 194 points, Rob Donley ith 157 points, Mark Rhodes with 143 points, and Curt iller with 111. Tom Thatcher, Denny Haller, and Rick :hindler had 68, 51 and 45 points respectively. The ash ended up as Green Meadows co-champs and tour- i.ment runner-ups. RESERVES The Reserve team started their season with a one point victory over Wauseon. This was a sign of what was to come as all the games were very close. The season record was 10 wins and 8 losses with most of the losses coming early in the season. The team lost 8 games by a total of 48 points with many heart¬ breaking defeats along hie way. The team worked very hard throughout the sea¬ son and never gave up. Even after losing early in the season, the team showed more hustle, desire and determination as time went on. The work paid off as the team won 7 of their last 9 games. Ed Singer led the team in scoring with 12.6 points per game. Steve Jerger was the top rebounder with 146.
