Of America CREED We are the Future Homemakers of America We face the future with warm courage, And high hope. For we have the clear con¬ sciousness of seeking Old and precious values. For we are the builders of homes. Homes of America ' s future. Homes where living will be the expression of everything that is good and fair. Homes where truth and love and security and faith Will be realities, not dreams. We are the Future Homemakers of America We face the future with warm courage And high hope. The Future Homemakers of America start¬ ed their new year by the formal initiation of 27 new members, a county meeting at Tin- ora and a subregional meeting held at An¬ thony Wayne High School. Other projects consisted of sponsoring an Indian child in Oklahoma and placing first at the county fair with the F. H. A. fair booth. Special programs held during the year were a Progressive party, which introduced foreign foods to the girls, Daddy Date night and a F. F. A.-F. H. A. square dance. In February the girls made supplies for a rest home and in April they were busy making doughnuts for three days. The profits from the sales of the doughnuts went for the F. H. A. trip in June. Other money making activities included a Sweetheart Hop, selling Christmas greens and selling toys. Eighteen members, the advisors and five parents attended the State Convention held in Columbus. Four girls received their State Homemaker Degree at Convention. They were Pam Shuler, Chris Seibert, Chris Mc¬ Clure, and Kay Wineland. Donuts And More Donuts 53
