Our Past and Present Fairview High School was founded ln 1900 at the comer of Fairview Avenue and Catalpa Drive Because the burlding was not completed unnl 1904 classes were held in the Old Court House at the comer of Third and Mazn Streets Fairview eventually became a cxty school and the enrollment consequently out grew the burldmg The year 1929 was the dedicauon of our present bmlding at Hrll crest Avenue and Phrladelplua Drive In years thu burldmg became crowded which brought the need for expansion The addition included 20 classrooms a new auditonum a new cafeteria and an enlarged gymnasxum wh1ch was completed in 1954 Farrview has been an ever changmg school Though each year the student body becomes greater in number our name Fnendly Fairvrew stays the same Our spirit loyalty appreciation and love of this great school will remain with us through out our lrves
