Dedication During this year of 1971-1972, the Jacket staff wishes to dedicate this book to Mrs. Bonnie Camp- bell who has made our high school years the most memorable. She has always been willing to lend an ear and give her honest, challenging opinion. She works morning, noon, and night helping students, teaching students, and sponsoring students. Teaching Oklahoma History and Civics, coun- seling individuals, operating the concession stands, and giving those vocational aptitude tests are only a few of the small jobs Mrs. Campbell completes each year. We humbly dedicate the Jacket to her with our sincerest thanks. Concessions stand is her sideline job. Mrs. Campbell counsels with Lyle Nickel about college. 8

Student Council Reinstates Spirited Homecoming Bonfire Under the leadership of President Mac Wahl, the Student Council continued its challenging program of student activities. Homecoming con- tests, Christmas parties, and National assemblies were just a few of the many functions performed by the Student Council. On October 28, the Student Council reinstated the custom of a bonfire to raise school spirit for Homecoming. The job of raising school spirit is important, and having fun is also important. Staging a Christmas party equal to all others, was high- lighted by Bert Hensley bringing the image of Father Christmas - without the necessity of pad- ding - to the students. A skit written and pre- sented by the Creative Writing class was enjoyed by the student body. FRONT ROW: Diane Wahl, Doug Unruh, Pam Kehn. ROW 2: Tom Libby, Judy Wilcox. ROW 3: Brad Colby, Mike Ewing, Janie Burghart. ROW 4: George Gabrish, Mac Wahl. Cheerleaders past, present, and future, were depicted in the Homecoming skit. 10
