Homecoming, football games, bas- ketball games, track meets, plays, banquets, school pals, and learning experiences were all a part of it. From 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. to evenings spent working on floats, studying, and attending meetings, we made memories. Mem- ories that are cherished and invaluable . . . memories of friendships, hard work, and fun.. . memories that are now within us. The Year- book Staff has captured that “part” in the 1968 Yellowjacket. We will give you a pic- ture tour through the year of 1968, a year which came only once with memories which happened only once. We were a part of that year, a part of those activities, a part of those friendships, a part of those memories ... we were a part of Fairview High School. Great Is Her Name.” Suzanne Graham Editor rrBlack and Orange Will Prove That last class of the Stingerettes present skit day is too much. Rally. at Pep Singing in the Christmas Spirit was the high school and junior high chorus directed by Mrs. Matthews. Stacey portrays a scene from the Senior Play during play skits. Old FHS Is Best” Schedule changes in the office start the new year. Sonya Kliewer, FHA president, and officers stand as they recite the chap- ter creed. Football queen, attendants, and escorts practice half time ceremony for Homecoming night. Juniors and Seniors do believe in Santa Claus. Football squad plans tough play. Twirlers - Vicki, Darla, Sherry - enjoy the game. 5 Dedication Cheerful, interested, devoted, and clever. This year’s Yellowjacket is dedicated to a person who possesses this type of character. Taking yearbook pictures, spurning our teams on to victory, or in the classroom, her enthusiasm is admired by all. We, the Yearbook Staff, are indeed proud to dedicate this 1968 Yellowjacket to Mrs. Jimmie Lou Ward, our yearbook sponsor. Administration -i h'-H f 7 DIRECTING THE ADMINISTRATION of Fairview schools is Superintendent Allen A. Aaron. Mr. Aaron wonted closely with the school board in for- mulating and carrying out school policies. He also guided the activities of all three schools. HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL Max K. Moyers, top, and grade school principal J. D. Cunning- ham coordinate the activities and schedules of their schools. They are always concerned with problems and decisions of the faculty and stu- dents. And their determination to excel is evident by tne schools' progress. Administration Headed 8 RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PUBLIC for school affairs weighs heavily on the shoulders of the 1967- 1968 school board members, Edwin W. Kliewer; George Keck, Jr., clerk; W. U. Gaylord, pres- ident; Alden A. Glasgow; John Schoeppel, vice president. To meet the growth of Fairview's Public School System, the school board has undoubtedly been successful in the construction and operation of the Chamberlain School.
