Before we realize it we will leave the persons and things we have grown to love, but we will live vividly in a world of memories of this school year. We are part of his- tory, a history that contin- ues to grow with each graduating class. It is with sorrow that we leave these things, but with eager anticipation that we face the future. As editors we have tried to produce in tangi- ble form an annual that will be a key to your treasure chest of memories. Rita Ranson and Karen Campbell co-editors 2 PROLOGUE TO HISTORY Come with me now and we shall expand Our memories on a trip to yesterday land. September the month, and the year '63, To learn and have fun was the plan of this spree. FHS Acquaintances and friends, a summer did part; New goals and objectives we were ready to start. Seventh through twelfth did enter the halls, English, math, science.. . were our pitfalls. FHS Cheerleaders, pep club, twirlers, and band, Boosted our teams against the best in the land. The field was green, the white stripes lay fast, A game to rejoice, a first and a last. FHS Bonfires, pep talks, with victory our goal, In these precious moments, memories untold. FHS We left in the morning, still half asleep, With new uniforms and instruments, a contest to meet. District and Tri-State, first place our desire, Ninety-five band pieces the critics did admire. FHS To each organization we gave our all; We were ready to answer the president's call. Each meeting we attended, we gave our best, The responsibility on upper classmen did rest. FHS With the chill of winter came basketball season, For the students to be proud we had good reason. Coaches and captains did lead the way, As with teamworlceach group would play. FHS A play to produce, with no times for games, Each hoping opening night would bring us fame. FHS Class rings, F-Club jackets, both in demand, By mid-term were passed from hand to hand. Walks down the hall, a wink and a sigh, Then a sly wave to that special guy. FHS With anticipation the juniors did scheme; Producing a banquet to meet our best dream. We sadly departed, no more to return, A high point was reached that all did concern. FHS We travel the roads but once in our life, Each one is filled with fun, sorrow, and strife. The first note was struck, and then a full chord, And in each senior's mind many treasures were stored. FHS We started together and ended the same, On fun and education we each staked our claim. From beginning to end we worked as a team, Our wishes were answered, our goal was supreme. FHS Each student greeted the holidays with cheer, Farewell to the students and teachers we adore, The days were full of plans to us dear. Farewell FHS halls from the class of '64. FHS • • • ■ • • ■ ■ ■ • • • • • • • Coach tries the Buzzard Lope , dance fad from the senior play.
