The Banner staff, consisting of thirty students worked together in harmony to publish the award winning news- paper. Editor-in-Chief Don Putzier urged reporters to get their stories in on time in order to meet the Monday deadline. Screams of joy and anguish could often be heard from behind the door of room 821 as the yearbook staff labored industriously to put out the fifteenth volume of the LANCE. The joy of finally receiving pictures from photographers, but then finding out that they were the wrong size or people, was of- ten the case with LANCE students. Each student was responsible for layouts, pix, and copy. After much screaming and hair-pulling on the part of editor Olivia Kieboom, and much prodding by sponsor Miss Carol Ku- ban, the yearbook was finally put to bed in March, and the staff was ready to take a year's vacation.
