Current Events Club The aim of the Current Events Club is to promote better understanding of the world's problems. To further this aim, the club is affiliated with the Cleveland Jr. Council on World Affairs, and members attend programs sponsored by the coun- cil. Also, two members are sent to Washington and the United Nations each spring by the P.T.A. Quiz Bee The Quiz Bee is an annual competition between Fairview and other schools in the Southwestern Conference on knowledge of current events. Twelve questions are asked each of the six students in an assembly before the senior high. Last year Fairview was second to Rocky River by two points, 52 to 54.
