Mr. Lewis F. Mayer, Superintendent of Fairview Park schools, has iniected his philosophy of education into the very heart of the school. Through the years the various aspects of the school - classroom activities, organizations, building activities, athletics - have developed to their present status under his competent direction. A recipient of a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wooster College and a Master of Arts from Ohio State, Mr. Meyer has earned the respect of all as a fine administrator and a worthy citizen of the schools and the community. Q- ,W Miss Janis DeMuth is Assistant and Secretary to the Super- intendent. Her steady and efficient attention to detail contributes largely to the smooth running of the entire school system. Tactful and understanding, Miss DeMuth helps maintain a fine relationship between the teaching personnel and the office of the superintend- ent. She has her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Reserve U niversity. Dr. Frank W. Barr, Administrative Assistant to the Super- intendent, has been with the Fairview Park school system for thirteen years. He has been instrumental in instituting summer school and adult education in the Fairview schools. Dr. Barr has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State, and a Master of Arts, and a Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Western Reserve University.

Instrumental in guiding the lives of many girls, Miss Laura L. Dean is continually striving for the general welfare of all students. Her pleasant sympathetic approach to the scholastic and personal problems of her girls has added to her success in helping many adjust. Miss Dean has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Reserve and a Master of Arts degree from the same school. Mr. Frank O. Hurd, as Principal, is directly responsible for the student activities at Fairview High. His many duties are executed with an effi- ciency that shows his good iudgment and administra- tive skill. Moreover, Mr. Hurd has done much to promote an excellent relationship between the faculty and the students. Mr. Hurd received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Hiram College and a Master of Arts degree at Ohio State University. This year Mr. Robert C. Rudes was appointed Dean of Boys by the Superintendent. Now in his seventh year of teaching at Fairview High, Mr. Rudes has consistently shown excellent judgment in assisting them with their many and varied pro- blems. Mr. Rudes is o graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College and a recipient of a Bachelor of Arts degree.
