. ICR C ASS OFFICERS hart, secretary, Verl Scherer, president, Bob McLaren, vice-president: and Joyce Marcell, treasurer. Along with the advisory committee, the officers did an ex- cellent job planning the class parties, Junior-Senior game, and the prom. CLASS HISTCDRY On the eighth day of September in the year of nineteen hundred and fifty two, B. G. Cbefore gradu- ationj took place an event unequalled since the doors of Fairview High first opened-the birth of the Class of '58! Ah, memories . . . but how quickly the years slip by. As freshmen this great class finds itself under the able direction of Pat Petrigan, president. Red and white are to be our colors, and we find all freshmen dubbed with, the unmistakable mark of a freshman -beanies! What a great Sophomore class we had with Paul Roberts as president. Now that we are one step nearer to being S. S. lsuperior seniorsl we find our- selves caught up in the whirl of senior high activities -dances, games, and assemblies. Soon Fairview's halls were brightened considerably by proud juniors wearing snappy red jackets and three shouting girls -JoAnn, Bev, and Judy. As juniors we planned a superb banquet for the ex-seniors, theme Mississippi Showboat. Boom . . . boom-l can hear the drums now-um goa bouanna-here come the Junior Ja- maicans. We put up a good fight at the junior-senior game, but the opposition proved too tough and we tasted defeat which only made us a little more humble, a trait for which this class is still respected!! Ring your bell for Karen L. - Bob's for the Job! Remember these slogans? Of course, the Student Council presidential election in which Bob Matia be- came president! We danced our way through a won- derful prom put on by the seniors and ended the year proudly wearing our class rings. G. D. fgraduation dayl is fast approaching and we find ourselves in a mad rush to prepare for it. Mac and Tom lead us through an exciting football season as co-captains. Class pictures are taken and hastily written as the year seems to fly on. JoAnn makes a lovely football queen accompanied by Penny and Jeanne, and Bev appears equally lovely as basketball queen accompanied by Judy and Gret- chen. The dances of the year are topped off with the Friendship Formal. The junior-senior game and ban- quet are thoroughly enjoyed by all. Now it's time to measure for caps and gowns, order announce- ments and flowers, and make all the necessary preparations for graduation. The spirit of '58 grows dim with graduation and finally the prom. Though dim, the spirit of '58 will live on in the hearts of all of us who have enjoyed these happy years together. The officers of the senior class are: Carol Burk-
