3 SUPERINTENDENT Lewis F. Mayer A very well known person around Fai view Park is Mr. Lewis F. Mayer, Superin tendent of Public Schools. His leadership hc brought many improvements to all th schools, especially Fairview High. Besides d recting the school administration, he is see at most of the school activities. Mr. Mayer received his Bachelor of Art Degree at Wooster College, and his Ma: ter's Degree at Ohio State University. He ha done post graduate work at Columbia an. Western Reserve Universities. Once a month on the first Tuesday the Fairview Park School Board meets to discuss future plans for the operation of Fairview's schools. They are elected by the people of the community in odd numbered years. Some of their duties are hiring of the faculty, purchasing text books, and planning the expansion of the schools in Fairview Park. The Board Members are: Mrs. Eila D. Russell, Mrs. Ethel E. Bishop, Clerk-Treasurer, Mr. James S. Rignall, President, Mr. Lewis F. Mayer, Superintendent, Mr. Dana B. Thomas, Vice-Presidentp and Mrs. Irene E. Matia. Absent: Mr. John J. Corrigan.

1? A LAURA l. DEAN Dean of Girls Through all the years at Fairview High School, Miss Dean helps the girls adiust to their high school work. She is always willing to give that little extra advice that means so much. Not only does she counsel the girls, but she teaches solid geom- etry and trigonometry. She is ad- visor for Student Council and Friendship Club. Miss Dean received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Flora Stone Mather, and her Master's Degree at Western Reserve University. it FRANK O. HURD Principal Heading our school for the past seven years in all its functions and activities is Mr. Hurd, Dean of Boys and principal. His superb judg- ment and wise decisions help to make our school run smoothly. Mr. Hurd graduated from Hiram College where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, and earn- ed his Master's Degree at Ohio State. Rf!
