mivrs Back in September, the first meeting of the new senior class was called to order. Nick Basile was elected to lead the class with the competent aid of Paul Cary, Vice-president, Bob Lewis, Treasurer, and Dolores Fehr, Secretary. The first and most successful financial venture was the sale of magazine subscriptions. The class of 1950 was awarded a plaque for selling over S1500 in subscriptions, an honor in Fairport High School history. On November 22, -1949, the Seniors took an enrapt audience to Gro- ver's Corners, New Hampshire, to visit Our Town. This successful Senior play was under the direction of Mrs. Lorensen. The Sno-Ball was presented in liecember. Its success was made possible through thejoint efforts of the whole class. The theme in green and white, was carried out with a white Christmas tree and pine boughs. King Carl Marlett and Queen Winifred Cobb reigned. Cleverly made programs shaped as snowballs and snowman tickets showed the ingenuity and originality of the students. Christmas cards and baked food sales, Nook proprietorship and a roller skating party helped supplement the treasury so that in early April the class set out for a four day trip to New York City. The Seniors have had an enjoyable year and will miss Fairport High School all the more because of their many good times and their friends among students and teachers.
