IN MEMORY OF MR. LOUIS Hess The halls of Fairport High School, once graced by the presence of cheerful Mr. Hess, better known as Louie, are now silent in mourning. For several years. the corri- dors and rooms have been kept neat and tidy due to his hard, unceasing work. XVhen clubs or other groups needed the gym heated for dances and parties, he always will- ingly consented to help. Trim lawns and neat looking track and football field reflect the diligent care of Mr. Hessg while during basketball and football seasons the bleachers and fences were often moved for the students' convenience. Perhaps one of the nicest things to remember about lX'Ir. Hess was his love of young people. Their pleasure seemed to be his aim in life. XVhen he came back to school at night to work or tend his fires, he would permit an bour's play in the gym and supervise it, and young people would leave again when he was ready to go. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Louie. Their fun was his fun. As we look back now, we sincerely appreciate the unceasing thoughtfulness, hard work, and loyalty of this staunch friend, and the memory of the jolly Good llorningu and the good-matured joking shall be with us always. The faculty and students oi Fairport High School extend their gracious and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mr. Hess. of the Gardener . . . W
