Seven victories, one tie - a perfect season! That's what Harding High can boast of for its i945 football season. Matching last year's success, the '45 squad carried the undefeated record to fifteen consecutive games. The team deserves a lot of credit, but not all. A glreat deal is also due to its coaches, George Daly and Ken Young, without whose able guidance and leadership, victory would have been impossible. May the future teams of Harding continue this fine record and bring to Fair- port that fame it well deserves. FAIRPORT AT BEDFORD l2-12 Skippers confronted by gigantic Bed- fordites. Green and White go to score in first half. Skippers trail 6-O at end of first period. Hambor plunges, Moroz passes, Tobias, Hill spark line. Skips score two quick six-pointers. Bedford tallies last score in final five minutes. PERRY AT FAIRPORT 6-l5 Pirates score in first quarter on 60- yard dash. Skippers register six in second quarter on sustained march. Half ends in 6-6 deadlock. Fundermark gallops to pay dirt on third period interception. Fairport blocks kick in final round to add two. Skippers not up to par. PAINESVILLE AT FAIRPORT O-7 Rivals duel evenly for two periods in sea of muck and water. Downpour floods field with two inches of rain. lnvigorated Sailors push Raiders into danger through- out second half. Score in last period on pass to Bindon. Swim off with third in row from downhearted invaders. FAIRPORT AT GENEVA 38-O Skippers at full strength for first time. Every man on squad sees action - many score.
