FAIRPORT O WILLOUGHBY l3 After eleven years as the law of average would have ut the Orange and Black turned the tables and scored on the well known sleeper play Although a moral vuctory for the Skuppers they dudn t have the scorung punch Bull Mackey added another star to the grud famous Mackeys by successuvely breakung through for yardage but the so called breaks seemed to fall toward the Rangers lt was a hard game to lose but we cannot blame Wulouqhby for seekunq revenge FAIRPORT O ASHTABULA 21 Havung been defeated by Faurport last year the Ashtabulans were deter muned to reverse the sutuatuon The Panthers were guvung all they had a characterustuc whuch they consustently showed thus season Consecutuve eughty yard kucks by Kangas kept Ashtabula out of scorung terrutory early un the game But the Panthers were out for the champuonshup and the fuerce defense of the Pohto Brothers alone could not stop those Ashtabula gladuators of the gruduron When the gun sounded the end of the struggle the score stood at Ashtabula 21 Faurport O FAlRPORT O CONNEAUT Zl Conneaut noted for uts successful football hustory trampled the Skup pers unto defeat More than once the Trouan backs broke unto the clear only to be caught by a speedy Skupper The defense of Adams and Suppola Hugh After a butter struggle for supremacy the Trouans clumbed to the top wuth a score of Zl O FAIRPORT 6 PAINESVILLE l4 Three thousand fans flooded the well lughted staduum of Hordung Hugh to see the tradutuonal battle between Faurport and Paunesvulle Kangas of Faurport the fastest back un the Lake Shore League scooped up the openung kuckoff and sprunted 83 yards for a touchdown The Rauders retoluated un the second quarter wuth a long pass and a score From then on ut was nup and tuck wuth luttle headway Paunesvulle receuved a break un the funal quarter on a blocked punt un the shadow of Faurport s goal By a serues of power plays Paunesvulle scored the funal touchdown FAIRPORT O ASHTABULA HARBOR I3 Agaun the Ashtabula Harbor uunx grupped the Faurport squad On a wet muddy fueld these two Harbors battled for the presentotuon of the Mournung Basket Trophy In thus game Adams agaun receuved unnumerable creduts whuch placed hum on the All Lake Shore Team The power of Har bor s fullback who scored twuce un the second half gave the Manners thus vuctory Thus game ended another football season for the spuruted Skuppers twenty ught - I - ' Il H , W F If 11 . . . 1 , A - I - ' 1 ' V I Il ll ' I - I - I I - glistened as they frequently smashed the Power-house from Conneaut - 1 L I L.
