Class Prophecy After strollmg through the halls of Fa1rmount H1gh School I have found a lot of k1ds Stlll run n1ng around that I know Of course they were a lot vounger when I was a sen1or 1951 doesnt seem 11ke 10 years ago but lots of th1ngs have happened s1nce then to the gang I graduated w1th I ve been checkmg up on some of them s1nce I 81 rlved home Ive made several tr1ps to var1ous parts of the World 1n the past 10 years Most of my t1me has been spent 1n Afr1ca where I ve done a lot of ex plormg for sc1ence and qu1te a b1t of work for several U S zoos Captuflhg Wlld an1mals Ive VVFIIICH a lot of books 111 my spare t1me several of them have been best sellers I ran across one of my old frxends J1m Spahr on several of my exped1 t1ons 1n Afr1ca Hes a well known anlmal hunter there Hes a dead shot hav1ng k111ed at least one of every kmd of ammal 1n Afr1ca Hes gen erally on a safar1 h1S Wlfe Joyce R1Ch anoth r old fr1end of H1136 always goes along to do the cooklng for h1m On my way back to the coast to catch my boat I cut across part of the Sahara Desert and ran HCIOSS a d1v1s1on of U S SOIGIGFS Behlnd them 1n a Jeep was the1r commandlng offlcer and was I surpr1sed to f1nd out that It was Thurman Har ter a four at 1 general 1n the U S Army He st1ll looked the same even 1n hlS kham shorts and sun When I arrlved IH New York C1ty I looked up Arlene Dav1d Shes a Powers model now We went to a baseball game that afternoon at Yankee Stad1um R1chard Beck was p1tch1ng for the Cleveland Ind1ans aga1nst the Yankees deteatmg them 1n a shut out game On my way home I stopped 1n Oh1o to see one of my old classmates Phy111s Florea CMrs Jxm Norr1s nowl Her husband IS teachmg at Oh10 State I learned wh11e I was there that Esther Dunham ls workmg 1n a laboratory 1n Toledo as an asslstant to a noted sc1ent1st When I rr1ved 1n Mar1on I ate supper at M111e1 s Supper Club where Betty Ashba ls s1ng1ng now She smgs 1n AYTIGTICHH and Ch1nese Cto go Wlth the foodj I went down to the Chron1c1e Publlsh 1ng off1ce to see Martha Jane Pulley CMrs Harold Rogersj who 1s copyreader for the paper Her husband IS head pr1nter for the f1rm I took a bus to Fa1rmount and go off at Fulk ersons corne1 on State Road 9 Mrs Fulkerson IS the former Marlene Payn I went on down the road a plece to s e Marjean Payne who runs a fru1t and vegetable stand durmg tne summer She collects a pletty good lncome trom It She told me Donna R1ch and her husband B111 Druck own ed a large cattle ranch 1n Texas Jack Sheets lS 1n Texas at Lackland A1rbas testmd Jet planes B11 Upcieffraff 1s down sout1 too H run a aowboat on the MISSISSIPQI and I hear hes the best Cald shark on the r1ver John Webster IS down there also but hell be back soon He runs a pr1vate bus 11ne from Fowlerton to M1am1 H1s bus stop 1n Fowlerton IS Klrkwoods cafe Pat K1rkwood runs th1s new restaurant wh1ch Nave COHSITUCIIOH Co Just f1F11Shed bulldlng for her Wayne Nave IS head of the company Ph1111p Gr1ndle d1d the plumbmg Job and John M1tCh9Def who owns a large electr1ca1 plant 1n Fa1rmount was h1red to do the w1r1ng John IS a stand 1n for Gorgeous George IH h1S spare t1me now Leonard K1mes Just kept on farmmg after grad UHIIOH He has been verv successful too He owns one th1rd of Ind1ana now Mrs Lee Moorman has been do1ng some work for h1m lately Shes the former Barbara Klstler and the only lady vet er1nar1an 1n Grant county Seve1a1 of the boys have stuck w1th basketball Bob Roth 1s head coach at Butler Un1vers1ty and Buddy Cox IS the star player for the M1nneapol1s Lakers Speaklng of M1nnesota I learned that 'Vlrs Emory Rmg CMartha Holloway!
