The old record was set in 1933 by John underclassmen participating for the first time. Holdovers from 1949 were fewg one however,, Charles Lewis, became one of our school's top cin- dermen. Lewis broke the school record in the half- mile run while competing in the sectional meet at Kokomo. His record time was 2 minutes and 6.7 THE 1951 March 30-Fairmount vs. Swayzee at Sweetser.
