For seventeen years our public school system has been held to a high standard under the capable leadership of Superintendent F. Stanton Galey. During this time he has been efficient in his serv- ice and has added greatly to our happiness and Well-being At any time he is willing to lay aside the papers on his desk to discuss with us our trxrng problems In the course of our schools history the school board has played a very important part Thev have kept the school running with clocklrke precision for the students of Fairmount High School Vlr O W Florea has been on the school board as trustee for eight years He is also president of the Joint Board August in 45 until March of 46 he was secretary He was then elected as president and rs still serving IH that po rtion Roy John took his place on the school board rn Februarv when he filled the vacancy of Xen Edwards who resigned Mr John is serving as the ecretary Joe Payne has taken over the positron on the school board in the place of Dr L D Hollrdav who resigned He took this positron March 1 and has served as treasurer PAGE TX YELVE D.
