lN'l'ltODUClNG The Journalism Class It is the journalism class of Fairmount high school which publishes the weekly school paper, The Breeze. Thi-' same class anfually publishes the high szhool year book. 'This Black and Gold is the 1942 edition. It ir Miss Eleanor Chapmairs job as faculty adxifor to supervise the writing and pub- lieation of both. In order to raise n1o'ey for the Breeze fund members of the journalism staff sold candy. ice cream and cokes at the home basketball games and duri'g noon hours throughout the year. The Black and Gold is the traditional itanie for that was the Fairmount high school annual, Last year was departed from and a different theme tried. This year we have reverted to the traditional title. The journalism class believed that by briiging the traditional Black and Gold up to date it would be possible to give you more of what you wanted. It is the sincere wish of the members of this class that you will get as big a kick from the 1942 Black arid Gold as they did in working on it.
