Ivan Seward. a school teacher at the West Ward school located northeast of the bulk of town. then took over the program. He gaxe an informal talk explaining how' to judge the width of a river or body of water by its related objects. Ralph Rybolt completed the meeting by lead- ing the scouts in a few songs all of which were amus- ing. Some of the songs sounded difficult such as The Poor Old Slave and The Deacon Went Down.
