Construction began at the school ' s third and present site in 1914. Pictured above is the administration building as it appeared in 1916 prior to its completion in January 1917 . The transformation of Fairmont Normal School into a state teacher ' s college was begun at this time. By 1923 permission was granted for the school to offer a four year college course and to grant an A.B. in education. 11
