Scott Jantzi - 2nd team Shawn Frazier - Honorable All-Conference Mention All-Conference The Fairmont Tigers had an unusual season that got off to a slow start but concluded with a surprising District Championship and a Regional playoff with State Champion Hordville. The youthful team was predicted to have a rebuilding season due to lack of height and inexperienced players. Doug Scheil. Jim Lott, and Scott Jantzi were the only three seniors to play on varsity. The season ended with 9 wins and 10 losses, however, four games were lost by a margin of no more than 3 points. Coach Anderson and Asst. The 1982 track season was very successful. Coaches Miller and Anderson provided the leadership for the track teams. Bruce Umstead proved to be a promising factor for future years of track success at FHS for the boys.
