There are 40 band mem- bers in the Fairmont B Band. They have participated in two band concerts and one Christmas program. There are 33 band members in the Fairmont A Band. The band has participated in many ac- tivities this past year. They are as follows: Performing and playing at home football games. BAND DAY at Doane College - Crete September 28, 1963 FOOTBALL GAME at Exeter October 4, 1963 HARVEST OF HARMONY at Grand Island October 5, 1963 BAND CONCERT December 10, 1963 MUSIC CLINIC April 11, 1964 BAND CONCERT April 14, 1964 DISTRICT CONTEST at York April 25, 1964 Janice West, who is the band's student leader, directed the band at home basketball games. Janice also tried out for All-State band in Grand Island on October 5, 1963. Joyce Smith represented the band as Miss Fairmont at the Harvest of Harmony at Grand Island on October 5.
