Appliance, Geneva, Nebraska CLASS HISTORY Out of the twenty members of the class of 1957 only two of them have struggled through all the years together. They are Ifancy Ackerman and Gerry Wettstead. Way back In the fall of I9W4. we eagerly trooped Into Miss Moore’s Kindergarten room to see what she could teach us. We learned quickly because it wasn’t any time at 8ll until Miss Johnson was welcoming us into the first grade. Here Doris Albro and Sharon Tutty joined us. This year flew by and before we knew it Miss Hurst was The Boss. She was our beloved teacher for the second, third and fourth grades. In the second grade LeAlen Domeier joined us from Geneva. It was in our third year that we were Joined by the majority of the class. Sally Prazier and Sharron Moore came in from country school. Tom Harling Joined ua from York, and Glenn Reed from Syracuse. Jerry Sheperd and Marlene MacAvoy also Joined us In our third year. In our fourth year Dick Bender came from Friend, Zesta Taylor from Lincoln, Beverly Anderson from Roseland, and Donna Babcock from York. Zesta left at the end of the year. When we advanced to the fifth grade Mrs. Dado became our instructor. This year sped by. Miss Nama and Miss Epperson had the pleasure of teaching us in the sixth year. This year we were Joined by Beverly Smith from Geneva, Janet Adams from Sutton and Margaret Sandburg from Grand Island. Glenn Reed and Zesta Taylor left us at the end 6f the school year. Before long we were climbing the stairs to Junior High. Mrs. Wendell led the way this year. Ilda Richardson was with us this term, but left at the end of the year. We also lost Donetta McMahon when she moved to York and Janet Adams when she left for Sutton. Mrs. Bixby took over the big task in the eighth grade and here Verlln Olson Joined us from Springfield, Oregon. I'm sure we will all remember the play we presented for eighth grade graduation Raspberry Red. Getting our diplomas was another exciting event. Our first year in High School proved interesting with initiation, school part- ies and all the other events you first encounter when you enter high school. This year Howard Lefler and Duane Smith came to us from country school. Zesta Taylor again Joined us from Hastings. Our class sponsor was Mr. Aleck. In our sophomore year Wayne Moore from Crete Joined us only to leave at the end of the year. Mildred Campbell came from McCool. Kenneth Fox and Goldie Richerson Joined our class for a few weeks. Our class sponsor was Mr. Sipes. Our junior year was a memorable year. We received our class rings, prepared for the Junior ’Senior Banquet and Prom, Springtime Serenade, produced our Junior class play Seventeen, directed by Mrs. Cellar. Maurice Crawford from Geneva Joined our class and at the semester Willard Shantz Joined us from Geneva and left at the end of the year. Our class sponsor was Mrs. Cellar. Our senior year was highlighted by many memories. Senior pictures were taken, sneak day, preparing the annual. Senior Class play directed by Mrs. Cellar, Baccal- aureate and Commencement. At the beginning of the year Bonnie Patton, Iona Garrett from Grafton, and Richard Johnson from Crete Joined us. We lost Jerry Sheperd who moved to Waverly, and Donna Babcock and Mildred Campbell were married In the summer of the Junior year. Bonnie Patton left school after being with us for the first few weeks of this year. Thus, making it a class of eleven girls and nine boys. Our class sponsors were Mrs. Rasmussen and Mr. Moore. ffe Bev Smith Jeff Mumhy Sponsored by Sally Frazier M U M B Y 1 S, Fairmont, Nebr.
