Student Council is OF the students . . . The Student Council consists of one rep- resentative from each homeroom and class and student body officers. Darwin Brookover is the faculty adviser. Revising the constitution of Fairmont Se- nior High was one of the main tasks under- taken this year. Other projects included sell- ing Polar Bear pennants, sponsoring the annual homecoming, chartering buses to away games and sponsoring assemblies. The Student Council also sends represen- tatives to the Northern Four Student Coun- cil, representing the four counties of Marion, Taylor, Monongalia and Preston. The coun- cil also sends students to the Student Council Workshop at Jackson's Mills. F.H.S. STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT, BOB GORE, poses on Fairmont's Court House steps. The Junior Executive Committee has the responsibility of putting on the annual Junior- Senior Prom. To raise money for this activ- ity they held a bake sale and the junior car- nival. The committee is made up of two repre- sentatives from each homeroom and the junior class officers. Class sponsors are Helen Good- win ond Frankie Babcock. Other junior advisers are Marian Belton, Frances Miller, Edward Pence, Harold Straight, Darwin Brook- over, Lucile Jenkins ond Alma Brown.
