Janet is another basketball fan, adores Stardust , likes gadding about and rather favors George Montgomery in the movies. Donald Newbrough: Choral Club, Maple Leaves Our brain child despises work of any shape or form. He likes chicken ffor a girl's namej, thinks Dorothy Lamour, or is it the sarong, is tops, Walter Boggess: Walter won't tell us his favorite ex' pression but he does like football, Gary Cooper, blue, and Harry james swinging The Dreamer , spends most of his time listening to the radio but hates to study. Wilma Earle Young: Girl Reserves, Spelling Club. Wilma likes to play baseball and to watch it being played. Then she goes to the other extreme and says that her spare time is spent reading. Betty Pepper: TrifHifY, Band Sponsor, Maple Leaves, Always keep smiling says cute Betty. She is mad about the name Dick , thinks blue is a swell color, hates conceit, and likes to hear Harry james play The Bugle Boy . Lucille Johnson: TrifHifY, Twirlers. Lucille, one of our pretty majorettes, says wolfmg is her favorite sport but she'll substitute swimming instead, likes Lana Turner, pink and Glenn Arnetts' band playing Pistol Packin' Mama . Clara May Stevens: Girls' Athletic, Girl Reserves. Bike riding is rClara's idea of a good time. To be named Sharon would be heavenly according to the grand gal. She adores White Christmas played by Harry James. Don Withers: Band, Hi-Y, Masque and Gavel, KL?UB. Don seems to like the name Don. QHandy, isn't it?j He says shucks , loathes homework, and spends his spare time just doodling. Mary Elizabeth Berry: Commercial Club. Aw gorsh is Mary's most used expression. She loves walking, and can be found roaming around the halls humming It's Always You . Homework is her idea of the worst thing on earth. Dorthea Louise Anderson: Girl Reserves '42, Twirlers '42, She says that she likes all boys' names Qdoes she mean boys? Period., Can play the piano well, and hates homework-not very original-eh, students? Velma Zampedro: Girls Athletics. Velma says nuts , likes Lydia for a girls name. Betty jean Hunter: Bridge Club, Masque and Gavel, TrifHifY. She swims, sings L'Oh What A Beautiful Morning , and is smart as a tack. Her pastime-ejonsie UQ, and her pet hate-Marybelle. Barbara Wyckoff: +Maple Leaves, Masque and Gavel, Choral Club, HifLife. i'Torchi is wild about Cole Porter's I Love You , hates the draft, but drools over Pierre Aumont. Olives, moonlight hossy rides, and T. Dorsey enchant her, says You set me solid and plans to set the world on Ere. Frank Hiehle: Aviation Club, KL?UB. Hank eats any' where and anytime, moons over Paulette Goddard, and thinks about the work he has to do-just thinks about it. This hunk of protoplasm also plays football. Edwin Brubaker: Lettermen. Ed ffhinks Teresa Wright, boxing, and the West High Band are all tops. Spends most of his time studying or so he tells us, and he despises any size, shape or form of competition. Sylvia Hutchinson: Maple Leaves, Thespians, Masque and Gavel. Sylvia wears red, sings I Don't Want To Walk Without You , is mad about Merle Oberon and Clark Gable, likes dodos with chocolate ice cream, wants to sleep until Gabriel toots his horn, loves life in general. jean Blair: Maple Leaves, Thespiansf Gee Gee adores Begin the Beguinen played by Andre Kostelanetz, knows how to hold the brush straight in drawing and painting, swims like a fish and yumfyums about soft' shelled crabs, is nuts about horse races and kinda likes Lawrence Glivier. William Douglas: Aviation Club, Military Club. Bill, one of our big handsome blonds, likes baseball, blue, and working. He says he doesn't like girls but we haven't noticed him running away from any of them. Robert Brown: Choral Club, Hi-Y, Lettermen Club. Bob is tall, light and handsome, slays 'em on the football Held, loafs when he Ends time, moons over Betty Jane and reads 'lEsquire , likes the name William. Barbara Rex: Maple Leaves, HifLife. 'kBabs is keen about dancing, swimming, and tennis, is kinda partial to the name Don and the color blue, hums Staff dust and admires Tommy Dorsey. I doubt that is her byfwordg John Wayne-her favorite screen star. Carol Jo Keister: Arts and Crafts, Choral Club Carol wears red, plays the marimba, loves steak and Ronald Reagan, and is another Bill Dakos band fan. She swims like a fish and hums White Christmas . James Holbert: This shy, but oh so nice fellow detests school, likes blue, Errol Flynn and Ace Dakos' Band. Mary Alice Holtzworth: s'Tippy goes in for swim' ming, Guy Lombardo, the color blue, and the name Don, croons My Heart Tells Me and dislikes the girl who gets her own way, idolizes Greer Garson and Cary Grant, kills time with anything that's handy Jack Robert Whiteman: HifY, Science Club. Jack's spare time is spent reading. He's a history shark, and how! This fellow hates cats Chow does he mean that?j, enjoys Tommy Dorsey's bancl, goes out on long hikes, and is a good natured someone. Frank Oliveto: Lettermen's Club '42, Military Club '42, Our new cheerleader is also one of our football players and is keen about boxing. This feller is a great favorite among the gals. Madalee Curry: Athletic '42, Girls Reserves '42. Cole Porters Smoke Gets In Your Eyes is Madalee's favorite tune. Xavier Cugat and Bing Crosby head her list of well known personalities. She loves reading and bicycling. Lu Ellen Witt: Arts and Crafts, Choral Club, Masque and Gavel. Louie's pet expression is 'kHeavens! She likes basketball games in the winter and swimming in the summer, likes to hear Tommy Dorsey play Paper Doll , doesn't like tests, but is groovy for Alan Ladd. James Davis: jim likes boxing as his favorite sport. Thinks the name Jean is nice and reads quite a bit in his leisure time, likes lovely Rita Hayworth, thinks Harry James is rugged and likes the song If You Please. Anthony Spadafore: Motion Picture Crew, Printing Club. Everyone likes this rather quiet fellow. He shines in his favorite topic, building model airplanes, likes color blue, John Wayne, and Tommy Dorsey playing Coming In On A Wing And A Prayer . Jo Ann Smith: Arts and Crafts, Choral Club, Girl Reserve '42, This loving female's pet hate is another girl. She sez Oh, me , moons over Bill, and is conf stantly humming k'There Are Such Things.
