As always, Wesl Week played an imporlanl parl in Pep Club's proiecls. This year Norlh Unil look lirsl place in unil decoraling cornpelilion. To add a bil ol permanenl spiril in each unil, Pep Club conslrucled lellers spelling Fighling Fairmonl Easl Pal- cons. They hung lhese around lhe lops ol lhe unil lobbies. Pep Club made new lellers lor lhe gym lobby also. Pep Club members broughl enlhusi- asm lo many sporls aclivilies. Along wilh lheir voices, lhey used emply pop cans, which lhey clapped logelher: red and blue rags, which lhey waved in lhe air: and large signs lor lhe leam lo run lhrough. Pep Club also sponsored spiril buses lor several away loolball and bas- kelball games. A very large viclory bell given lo Easl several years ago was pul lo use by Pep Club. They reslored lhe bell and made a lrailer lo carry il. They planned lo lake il along lo all lhe games in lhe lulure and ring oul lheir enlhusiasm.
