This year, 43 children Trom The OSSO Home, 84 NHS members, and TaculTy advisors enioyed a chicken dinner and evening oT enTerTainmenT. AFS sponsors exchonge students from Bolivio, South Atrico The American Field Service Club sponsored two exchange students this year. Rosie Noel trorn South Atrica and Raul Villarreal trom Bolivia came to Fairmont East tor a year. Two AFS members, Gayle Gunning and Sue Willett, traveled abroad with the same program. Gayle spent the summer in Lebanon. Sue lived in Bel- gium during the school year, spending her senior year abroad. She lived with a tamily and three other children while staying there. The AFS chapter at Fairmont East sold Christmas cards designed by tor- mer AFS students as a money-making proiect. Other activities included male- ing telt Christmas stoclcings and distrib- uting them to other exchange students trom schools throughout the area, plan- ning a progressive dinner and holding an exchange meeting with West.
