Gym assisTanTs helped reTeree games and lead exercises. They also Toolc aTTendance and ran errands. ,v-4'd Student cissistonts mciin interest - helping school This year student assistants were quite helptul to the taculty at Fairmont East. They provided their services in tour ditterent areas. Student secretaries helped teachers with their paper work, such as grading tests. Ottice assistants answered the phones and did other odd iobs tor unit secretaries. Attendance monitors picked up absentee and tardy slips and took them to the main ottice. They then com- pleted a list to be given out to teach- ers. Bookstore workers sold study items to students betore school and during the tourth period. Students appreciated the convenience since there is one book- store per unit. Upper Lett: Kathy Walker purchases supplies trom bookstore workers, Don Judis and Carol Hutzelman. Lower Lett: South Unit secretary, Mrs, Mehl, gives ottice assistant Tara Schide some tiling instructions. 129 l
