For those of you who don't know, bus-o-phobio is an uncontrollable fear of riding the bus. It seems that a :senior will do just about anything to avoid riding the bus. Some walk, others catch o ride with o friend, and those fortunate enough, scrape together enough cash to buy their own cor. Some seniors have even been known to ride to school with o teacher when their wheels were broken down. But, when all else fails, that old familiar senior's face appears at the bus stop only to hear the driver's endless chant. another one rides the bus . . Determined Falcons The 1980 season was one of many ups and downs for the fighting Fairless Falcon foot- ball team. The team went 7-3 for the sea- son, with losses to Orrville. Northwest and Manchester marring their record. They outscored opponents by a 157-79 point margin. making for an average scaring output of 16 points per game. At one time during the season we were 9-0 and ranked 4th in the state. The Flock ended up sharing the A.O.C. crown with West Holmes and Orrville while placing above both in the state ratings. Our Falcons en- tered tournament action with high hopes only to be knocked out by previously beat- en Northwest. The Flconettes won the A.O.C. and ad- vanced to the Sectlonals, but were beaten by a team they had beaten earller In the season, East Canton. Office Workers I 133 Playhouse Takes Audience Falcon Playhouse is a very special organization, but there is another special group within the Playhouse. No, not the Waahs-Thespiansl In order to be a member of the International Thespian Board, certain requirements must be met. Candidates have to be a two-year member of Playhouse, thus each must be a sophomore. Also, at least 15 Thespian points must be earned by acting, dancing, or working on crews in the productions. The theme of Those Were the Days, was elaborated upon during the cool October day. The afternoon was considered a total success with our lovely Queen Chris Abraham being crowned in a ceremony featuring antique cars and the 1960 Queen Jean Jacobs Fodor. The Queen and her Court were also honored with a Falcon victory over non- league foe Sandy Valley. After chowing down on a frontier meal, the hombres and their ladies were headed to the auditorium and were greeted with the sounds of Deep in the Heart of Texas. The first act was Westward Ho! , a melodrama where the villain, Ralph Rotten, was defeated in the end. ' Then the Falcon Playhouse Dancers gave their rendition of the can-can. The famous and the infamous women of the old West shared their contributions to history in Wild West Women. Next was Annie Get Your Gun where Annie proved that women can do anything as well as a man. After that came a scene from OkIahoma. Ado Annie might not have gotten her man, but she had a real good time trying. The Playhouse Singers entertained the audience with western favorites.
