Dr. Castellani physics Dr. Wallace Arthur, Chairman of the Physics De- partment, strongly advocates research work for the undergraduates. The department is now engaged in several research projects. Studies are being con- ducted in gaseous quantum electronics, long wave length infro-red spectroscopy, and radiation on thin films. In the future there will be research in electron defraction with electron microscopes and atomic and nuclear processes. The addition, this year, of a nuclear reactor, housed in its own building, creates new teaching opportunities in physics. Dr. Arthur feels that the physics curriculum offers sumcient electives to produce well-rounded students. Advanced Chemistry lob. Dr. W. Arthur Mr. G. Courville Mr. J. Felmcm Dr. 0. House Mr. R.
