psyche seventy-iave years ago the study of human behavior now known as psychology became a separate entity. distinct from philosophy, biology and related physical sciences. today we are increasingly aware that psychology impinges on all areas of human activity. with this thought in mind, smll, and intclhgcncc 1 the moving forces of the individual human being. we believe that the psyche is comparable to psychology, in that the psyche muchcs upon all aspecrs 0f the human individuai, and psychology touches upon all aspects of human behavior. with these brief thoughts in mind, we present the psyche a compilation of works done by both professors and students in the psychology dcpartmcnt, we have endeavored to give :1. brief glimpse of psychology in various fields of human activity. pat wagner, editor 111

Bonnes Amios Social Society This semester's pledge class lOOIiS lee the biggest one yet. So far they seem to be out- nmnoering the rest of us. Pledging was begun this week with a. mullled pop! Any intercol- ed male students may come to our table for information. The Kinsmen Social Society A mixer was held last Friday night at the house with a soror- ity imm Seton Hall. Animal crackers and dog food were serv- ed. The dinner dance is this Sat- urday night at the Motel on the Mountain and a. new mad Inom the motel will be blazed by this year's Crash Cup winners. Artie Young and 1301;. Andy Panda'l Rennie. The little Crimson Vassals are now in their second week of pledging and the house is now cleaner than ever. PGP Social Club We hope that our coming mix- er with the Sportsmai will turn out better than our mixer with SGE'Ptre did. Sunday the POP Chateau will be entertaining the parents of all the brothers. Plus Saturday, the pledges will give a party for the bmthers. Pledging is now in its 39m week and all is going smoothly. We hope that no one got hurl during the kidnapping last week. The Crowns Social Society 011 March 4. the Crowns 8c Sceptre will have a wild blast. All are invited except those P.F. Fliers. Lots of luck to Big Dave in his new '55 Chevy. 011 Sunday nites the Crowns will hold biologyr seminars. All people interested in pledging should attend these educatim'ial films. Delta. Social Society The Delta Ten will be held to- day at 3:00 PM. in the student lounge. If any girls miss the tea but are still interested in mm- ing speak to one of the sisters. Poor Fellows Society Society We are pmud to announce our semi-annual 'lPI'Ospccl Social as a successful endeavor. A good time was had by all. Sceptre Social Society The Sceptre girls would like to congratulate our own personal Valentine. Charah Social Society The Charali girls enjoyed a busy week on their social calendar, a few pleasant rushing hen ses' ions . at large uimout for the last home game and lhe Pam's party which followed and last, but cer- tainly not least. the JACKS - CHARAH mixer which was. nat- urally, as huge a success as we had hoped for. Pledging will be- gin next week. wmplete with the traditional gold headbands. and a. few pledge parties are in the mak- ing. Charah extends best wishes to our good friend Danny Rom on the completion of his outstanding basketball career. Cavaliers Social Society The Cavaliers are mighty proud of their first basketbaJl team. They mam,r not have made me finals, but they shmved their serappiness throughout basv ketball season. We would like to congratu- late Frank Pen'olta. on his recent pinning. This semesteris pledge per- iod is turning out to be very sur; eessiul. The brothers are plaid to say that they have the most immaculate shoes on campus. Sportsmen Social Society This Mmday our pledge pro- gram for this semester began. Operation Shanghai is shaping up and squad leaders are report- ing tuLl cooperation from all concerned. With a dozen pledges this operation should prove to be quite amusing. The usual pledging capers began with a highly successful and highly laud- ed banner-switch by the girls from K.R.A.C. Beware of the wrath of a patimt man. Congratulations to our bowling temn on their first place tin- ish this year. A tip of the hat to Champagne Tony. Sam l Flashl Gordon. Bill Smith, Ray Peche, Bob Olive and Eddie Brazee. The 213 Club threw another blast last Friday, a finish-the- keg party , due to the fact that the landlord is retm'ning soon and things will have to calm down. NOTICE: All members pemisting in making mime with cars when leaving the club are going to be asked to surren- der their key. Ingenue Social Society The Kinsmen-Ingenue Pledge Party will be hold on Friday. March 4 at the infamous 70 Or'ienl Way We can hardly wait - for what we don't know! The Ingenne Awards Board has nominated Danny Boson as the recipient of the Well-dESEWBd SAM award. Congratulations. Danny. for fulfill- ing the high requirements. The Jacks Social Society Pledging is in its second week and from all indications it is a great pledge class Now that the JACKS-MEX blast is histm'y, we are planning pledge parties with 21 few other groups. We would Like to bid farewell to and congratulate Mike Patter- son as he ended a fine 4 years basketball career for FDU. We also bid our Ewell to Dan Ro- sen, Jim Graham and Dick Ho- lub. Andy Cislak also deserves a lot of credit for his outstanding managing skills. He will be tough lo replace.
