The first factor is a neglect of college-level facilities in this state. Fairleigh Dickinson University helped to fill the need for higher education in New Jersey. A sec- ond factor can be seen in the universityis dy- namic president who is willing to experi- ment, innovate, and tackle any problem associated with this need for higher educa- tion. A third factor is contained in F air- leigh Dickinsonis small Board of Trustees. These trustees afe kept well-informed on school matters; decisions regarding the student body, the faculty, and facilities can therefore be made very quickly.
