WHITE CHRISTMAS FIJRMAL December 20th was a big day for Fairleighites. The annual white Christmas Formal was held for the Iixst time in the new gym. with Claude Thomhill providing the very danceable music. The gym was guyly decorated with Christmas trees. greens and the softly glowing lights. Down- stairs the caieten'a was in holiday dress also. which added to the enjoyment of the butiet supper. The music. which included a little of everything. lasted till one am. With calls 0! November 20th was freshman hell day. Most freshman cooperated by carrying their books in pillow cases. wearing pajama tops. unmatched socks, no make up and pigictils. Many oi the male students formed chain gang lines between classes chanting Sophs are chicken. A few clever frosh utilized a jeep to carry 01.! some of the sophs 10 make them pay up. Beanies were worn, for a few days preceeding hell day. A large dummy dressed as a FDC heshmcm was strung up on a tree to warn the freshmen oi the con- sequences, should they be uncooperative.
