The FDC keglers were the Cinderella team of the campus this year. Playing in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Bowling Conference during the regular season, the Knights met with only average success. But. near the end of the campaign, they took part in the New Jersey Intercollgiute Athletic Conference Bowling Tournament us the first athletic group to represent Fair- leigh Dickinson in our newly-cxdopted loop. In almost story-book fashion. our keglers, the tourney's underdog. proceeded to cop all N.J.I.A.C. honors. The Maroon muple-splitters, led by Dick Sumuck. built up a 235 pin advantage over their nearest competitor. Surnuck took both the high game and the high series. and won tour of the nine trophies awarded to the team. In addition, Fairleigh Dickinson was presented with the N.I.I.A.C.
