Though the boxing team hcrd but one inter-collegicrte match on its slate this year, the season was a busy one for student-coctch Al Grasso and his ring warriors. Almost everyday Grasso could be seen putting the Knight pugilists through their paces in the FDC gymnasium. Previous to their match with C.C.N.Y., Grasso put his charges on exhibition in cm intru-squctd match with every member of the team participating. The Maroon and. White punchers lost their match to C.C.N.Y. by C! close 5112-4112 margin, but it was a moral victory ior Grusso's boxers, who were making their debut in intercollegiate competition. Additional matches have already been carded ior next season and boxing is deiinitely on the upgrade at our school. However, Grasso will be faced with the long, hard task 01 iinding c1 capable replacement ior Bill Shultz beiore the next campaign rolls around.
