Bub Whaler: walked :5qu with just about every individual scoring honor this year. The 6:1 sopho more guard cut the male to: a total of 223 points in 22 games, which averages out to 10.1. the top mcuk in both these departments. As would be expected. Whaler: also scored the moat goals tram the 11001 dulinq the campaign. connecting on 96 two-pointers. His best night was against Yeshiva when he tallied 23 markers to tie for the single game high. Whalen broke the 20-point mark on one other occasion. notchinq 22 digits against Kings at Delaware. Following Whalen in the per-game average column is Dick DiBenedtlto. The lanky ireshmcm ptvolman ranked third in scoring but his 166 point total was over Cl 204101119. spread to: an average at 3.3 in each contest. It was also DiBenaditto who tied Whaler: tor the 23 point high game mark. The FDC center did the trick in the second Wilkes encounter. DiBeneditto also connected on 48 free throws to lead his mates in that department. George Glashow. the Knight Captain. dropped horn lirst to second place in the scoring column and ended the season with the third best peI-tilt average In 22 set-los the Duke racked up 179 points to: an 8-1 mark. Last year Glasgow capped all the marbles when he hit for 157 points. 122 In winning 15 at their 22 contests. Couch Dick Holuh's hoopeters racked up MB tallies t0! cm aw erctqe of 6?.5. Meanwhile the Maroon and White detensive setvup held Pairleigh's opponents to talt points overall or 58,? per game None 0! the Knights; adversaries were able to register twin-wins over the local collegians this year. Paterson State Teachers copped the decision the tirst time they taced the Dtckinsonians. but the FDC quintet revenged this set-buck the second time they met. registering the- w'tn in a double overtime. The victory Pace College posted over the Knights avenged an earlier detect at the hands of the Holubmen. The rest 01 the Knights' loses were to quintets they faced but once during the campaign. This list of single game victors include Long Island UniverA sity. Montclair State Teachers. Blidgeport Univer- sity. and Kings College of Pennsylvania. The Castle-dwellers took three twin-wins this year. posting double victories over C.C.N.Y. Evening School Bloomfield College and Wilkes. The easiest victory Couch Holub's tive registered was a 102-48 win over the C.C.N.Y. Evening aggregation in the season finale. while the worst lacing they took was a 97-48 loss to 11.11.11. Evidently the Blackbitde were not paid to keep the score down in that com tast.
