The Z Club is a women's ser- vice organizaTion on The college level. The Club's obiecTives are To serve The UniversiTy, To provide career guidance, To encourage leadership qualiTies in young women, and To promoTe fellowship and.beTTer undersTanding among all The peoples of The world. A drive for membership Took place early in The year. Membership was based on ouTsTanding characTer, personaliTy, ciTizenship, scholar- ship and leadership. NoT only are importanT and hisTorical evenTs given a modern inTerpreTaTion by The members, buT an inTeresTing and raTher sTimulaTing pracTice is followed; The members Try To give Their own Theories of how a cerTain evenT should have been handled. Two IecTures given early in The year were by Dr. Irving Buchen and Mr. T. J. Ross, who spoke on Sex and Censorship and Rebel in The Rye , reSpecTively. LaTer in The year, sTimulaTing IecTures were given by Mr. WaITer Savage and Mr. Gorham Munson. The Club was also responsible for The new publicaTion on campus, ImpacT . This publicaTion is sure To become one of The maior publicaTions on campus. The PresidenT of The Club, AnThony J. Frasca, is To be congraTulaTed for a successful year. A club is a club is a club.
