Principal ' s Address STANLEY J. GRABIEC Principal Faculty members in Fairhaven High School are well aware of the responsibility they assume in adopting teaching as their profession. They realize, too, the influence they may exert upon the life of each student they teach. Of even greater significance is the role of the parents who foster and direct the physical and spiritual welfare of their sons and daughters. Society, also, in many areas, exerts tremendous impact upon the young. The theme of this year’s “Huttlestonian” exhorts us to: “Teach Your Children Well!’’ It is a good and wise direction. The faculty of our school will do all humanly possible to obey this mandate. With warm personal regards to the Class of 1973. Stanley J. Grabiec 4

Thom a Photo by: Marie Gagnon ' 73 Teach Your Children You who are on the road Must have a code that you can live by And so become yourself Because the past is just a good-bye. Teach your children well Their father’s hell Will slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they pick’s The one you’ll know by. Don’t you ever ask them why If they told you, you would cry So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. And you, of tender years Don’t know the fears That your elders grew by And so please help them with your youth They seek the truth Before they can die. (Can you hear and do you care And can’t you see we must be free To teach our children what you believe in Make a world that we can believe in.) Teach your parents well Their children’s hell Will slowly go by And feed them on your dreams The one they pick’s The one you’ll know by. Don ' t you ever ask them why If they told you, you would cry So just look at them and sigh And know they love you. Words by: Graham Nash 3
