The home economics courses train girls in the best possible way—by giving them the chance to create under trained supervision. This also is the function of Fairhaven’s industrial shops, where boys learn the rudiments of a trade or to use their hands constructively and creatively. With T-square and lathe, we are helped along in our search. GENEVIEVE R. MODESTO Mrs. Modesto attended Bridgewater State Col¬ lege, Fitchburg State College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Syracuse University. She teaches clothing and homemaking. RICHARD L. ARIETA B.S. Mr. Arieta is a graduate of New Bedford Insti¬ tute of Technology and Bridgewater State Col¬ lege. He has also done graduate work at Siena College. Mr. Arieta teaches mechanical drawing and mathematics. He is also our assistant football coach, junior varsity basketball coach, and coach of our golf team. JOSEPH E. Le BLANC Mr. LeBlanc teaches printing and industrial arts. He is a graduate of St. Anthony School. After schoo l, he enjoys working in his own print shop. PETER BOROWIEC Mr. Borowiec, who teaches shop, is a graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts Institute of Tech¬ nology and is currently attending Northeastern University.
