She attended Bridge- water State College and Boston University. Her favor¬ ite pastimes include reading, cooking, and outdoor activities. FERNANDO SILVA B.S. Mr. Silva is our business and general course Guid¬ ance Counselor. His knowledge and assistance have helped to place Fairhaven High School seniors in their chosen careers. He graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and carpentry. 9

He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, and received his degrees from that institution. He is currently doing work for an Ed.D at Boston University. In his spare time he enjoys Civil War histories, home improve¬ ments, and gardening. CARLTON C. ALBRITTON B.S., in Ed. Mr. Albritton is our vice-principal. Always ready to listen, he has been most helpful to our class. A former resident of Junction City, Arkansas, he grad¬ uated from Southern State College.

Fairhaven students are given an introduction to the great classics and a solid background in grammar and creative writing. MABEL H. KNIPE A.B., M.A. Mrs. Knipe is the head of the English Depart¬ ment. She is a graduate of Tufts University and Boston University. Pier interests are reading, sewing, gardening, creative writing, music, and theatre. MARGARET C. HOWLAND A.B. Mrs. Howland teaches English to Junior and Sen¬ ior students. An alumna of Wheaton College, she enjoys reading, cooking, and talking with teenagers. MARGUERITE BRASOR Ph.B. Mrs. Brasor teaches English. A graduate of the University of Vermont, she enjoys painting, and reading about the theatre. 10
