Entwistle Fairhaven High School Principal To The Members of the Class of 1965 When you open your yearbooks for the first time, you will be near to that hour when you will go fofth from Fairhaven High School for the last time as a student. As you cross the threshold on this outward step, you will be crossing at the same time the Threshold to Tomorrow. For you, the doorway to the new day opens to opportunities exciting and rewarding. Four years you as a class have had a common purpose. As you crossed and recnossed the thresholds of home and schbol you have grown as you worked toward a goal in which you all have shared. Now the Threshold to Tomorrow will bring a parting for each of you as you enter a new era in your lives. Yet even though you pursue courses still unknown, you will take with you a bit of the fine heritage of this school. In turn, as you leave you will leave behind an addition to the legacy that awaits future members of Fairhaven High. In your crossing of the threshold, you leave us and so we hope for each of you a future that brings to you the full richness of life. We know, that beyond that Threshold to Tomorrow is success. To Mrs. Mabel H. Knipe, we dedicate the thirty-ninth edition of the Huttlestonian. As head of the English department, Mrs. Knipe has unself¬ ishly aided the Seniors at Fairhaven High School for many years. Mrs. Knipe has spent much of her spare time as advisor to the Spray” and director of past Senior plays. When prayer was denied us, Mrs. Knipe began writing a layman’s bible called Thoughts for the Day.” The Fairhaven High School graduating class of 1965 owes a great debt of thanks to Mrs. Knipe and in appreciation for her understanding we fond¬ ly dedicate this yearbook. 6
