Breakthroughs, such as man’s first venture into space, occur only as a result of organized research. We are greatly dependent on science, as it provides us with the means for maintaining society as we know it. Preparation in lab¬ oratory sciences gives students an opportunity to aid in the future maintenance and bettering of our high standards of living.
