GENEVIEVE R. MODESTO Mrs. Modesto, who is new to our school this year, teaches both clothing and homemaking. She attended Bridgewater State College, Fitchburg State College, Rhode Island School of Design, and Syra¬ cuse University. JEANNETTE MULVEY Mrs. Mulvey attended Bridgewater State College. She is the instructor of our food classes and has been a member of our faculty for eleven years. Mrs. Mulvey enjoys charity work. MARIE R. NOYER B.S. in Ed. Mrs. Noyer, the head of the Business Department, graduated from Salem State College and now teach¬ es office practice. Politics and the theater are among her varied interests. She also enjoys gardening, knitting, and furniture refinishing. WILLIAM OLIVEIRA B.S. in Ed. Mr. Oliveira graduated from Bridgewater State Col¬ lege. He is now teaching geography, modern history, and United States government. One of Mr. Oliveira’s main interests is photography. AVIS M. PILLSBURY Ph.B. Miss Pillsbury, our librarian, is a graduate of Brown Women’s College and the University of Illi¬ nois Library School. She enjoys books, travel, pho¬ tography, and rug braiding. 19

JOHN G. MALCOLM B.S. A graduate of New Bedford Institute of Tech¬ nology, Mr. Malcolm is a mathematics teacher at Fairhaven High School. Among his interests are boat¬ ing and fishing. MARGARET A. MANGHAN B.S., M.S. Miss Manghan is the reading supervisor at Fair- haven High School. She attended Boston College and Bridgewater State College. Her interests are art, languages, and people. ELIZABETH MANDELL Mrs. Mandell instructs our art classes. She grad¬ uated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. In her leisure time she enjoys art. block painting, and portrait painting. EVELYN L. MARTIN Mrs. Martin is well known to all F.H.S. pupils. A graduate of Fairhaven High School, she attended Kinyon Secretarial School. Mrs. Martin is Mr. Ent- wistle’s secretary. She enjoys reading, cooking, and music. SANDRA MILLER B.S. Miss Miller attended Northeastern University and the University of New Hampshire. She teaches English and public speaking. Among her numerous hobbies are reading, the theater, people, and sports. 18

RUTH ROBINSON B.S. in Ed. 20 Mrs. Robinson, a stenography and transcription teacher at Fairhaven High School, graduated from Salem State College. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading, and rug braiding. WALTER SAWICKI Mr. Sawicki attended New Bedford Institute of Technology, Keene State College, and Bridgewater State College. He teaches industrial arts and shop. Among his interests are woodworking, metal work¬ ing, and sports. ROLAND N. SEGUIN B.S. Mr. Seguin teaches both first and second year French at Fairhaven High and coaches our junior varsity football team. A graduate of Boston Col¬ lege, he lists his interests as his family, football, golf, basketball, baseball, horseback riding, and read¬ ing. EVELYN SHAPIRO B.S. in Ed. A graduate of Bridgewater State College, Mrs. Shapiro teaches English. An accomplished violinist, she enjoys the theater, opera, and concerts. FERNANDO SILVA B.S. Mr. Silva, who teaches chemistry and physics, graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology. For relaxation he enjoys hunting, fishing, listening to records, collecting guns, and being with his fam¬ ily.
