DONALD J. B. DUFOUR A.B., Ed.M. Mr. Dufour, who teaches the French classes, grad¬ uated from Assumption College and Bridgewater State College. He is interested in foreign languages and speaks several, including Chinese. His favorite interest is tennis. MELVIN ENTIN B.S. Mr. Entin is the director of athletics and physical education at Fairhaven High School. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Mr. Entin also teaches biology. His interests are woodworking, gar¬ dening, and fishing. CHARLES F. FOLEY B.S. in Ed. A new teacher at Fairhaven High School, Mr. Foley is a graduate of Bridgewater State College. He teaches civics, economics, and United States history. Among his interests are music, sports, and foreign affairs. MANUEL FONTES B.S., B.A., M.Ed. Mr. Fontes, a graduate of Boston College, Bridgewater State College, and New Bedford Insti¬ tute of Technology, teaches law and bookkeeping. He deserves the unmeasurable gratitude of the HUTTLESTONIAN STAFF for his fine direction. Fishing and model railroading occupy his spare time. PHYLLIS E. GOODWIN B.S. Miss Goodwin is a graduate of North Adams State College. She teaches English at Fairhaven High School. In her spare time she enjoys reading and sports. 15

RITA CHAMPAGNE A graduate of St. Anthony High School, Mrs. Champagne is Mr. Bither’s secretary. In her spare time she enjoys bowling and ice skating. ALEXANDER M. CLEMENT B.S., M.Ed. Mr. Clement teaches United States history at Fair- haven High School. He attended Williams College, North Adams State College, and Hyannis State Col¬ lege. An avid sports fan, Mr. Clement also enjoys studying history. HAROLD CORNFORTH, JR. B.A., M.Ed. Mr. Cornforth, a mathematics teacher at Fair- haven High School, attended Bates College and Bridgewater State College. He also took summer courses at Ohio Wesleyan College and Hamilton Col¬ lege. LOUISE F. DENNIE R.N. Mrs. Dennie, our school nurse, is a lifelong resi¬ dent of Fairhaven. She is a graduate of Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing. EDITH G. DIAS A.B. Mrs. Dias, who instructs us in the age-old lan¬ guage of Latin, graduated from Pembroke College, where she majored in French and minored in Latin. During her spare time, Mrs. Dias enjoys reading. WARREN F. GRIFFIN B.S. in Ed., M.A. Mr. Griffin, a newcomer to our faculty, graduated from the University of Maine and Andrews Univer¬ sity. He teaches general science and general math and coaches our varsity football team. Among his interests are football, golf, and reading. ALDA HAYWARD Mrs. Hayward is our guidance secretary. She at¬ tended Brockton Business College. Her interests in¬ clude music and painting. She spends a great deal of her leisure time playing her organ. NATALIE S. HEMINGWAY B.M. A graduate of the Boston University College of Music. Mrs. Hemingway is the vocal music instructor at Fairhaven High School. She cites her interests as music, cooking, and golf. MARGARET C. HOWLAND A.B. Mrs. Howland, an alumna of Wheaton College, teaches Junior and Senior English. Mrs. Howland enjoys reading, cooking, and talking with teenagers. MABEL H. KNIPE A.B., M.A. Fairhaven High School’s fine English Department is headed by Mrs. Knipe. She graduated from Tufts University and Boston University. Among her varied hobbies are reading, sewing, gardening, creative writing, and music. Mrs. Knipe also enjoys going to the theater. 16
