RAYMOND G. BOYCE B.S., M.Ed. Mr. Boyce, the head of the Science Department, teaches chemistry. He is an alumnus of Fitchburg State College, Bridgewater State College, and Boston College. Mr. Boyce’s hobby is collecting rare rock specimens. MARGUERITE BRASOR Ph.B. Mrs. Brasor, a graduate of the University of Vermont, teaches English. Among her diverse in¬ terests are painting and reading about the theater. PETER P. BRIGGS A graduate of Fairhaven High School, Mr. Briggs is now attending Bridgewater State College. He teaches industrial arts, woodworking, and printing. In his spare time he enjoys model-building, sailing, and woodworking. ALMA J. CAMPBELL B.S. Miss Campbell instructs the girls in physical ed¬ ucation. She coaches them in basketball and is the advisor for the cheerleaders. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she enjoys camping in the summer and reading. ROBERT L. CARTER A.B., Ed.M. Mr. Carter is one of our new English teachers. He graduated from Gordon College and the State College at Boston. His numerous interests include football, baseball, track, debating, and music ap¬ preciation. 13

A Vote of Z.hanks to Our faculty We, the Class of 1964, have come to the end of our high school career. Our class was not the first, nor will it be the last to profit by your teaching abilities. We are deeply thankful for the fine example and outstanding instruction you have given us. You have helped us through four very important years in our lives—formative years which will deeply affect our futures. You have in¬ stilled in us the desire to learn, to achieve, and to strive for higher goals. We sincerely hope that we shall live up to your expectations, that you might be proud of the role you have played in pro¬ viding us with an excellent education. For your innumerable efforts and services performed in our behalf, we extend to you our unending gratitude and sincere appreciation. RICHARD L. ARIETA B.S. Mr s Arieta graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology, Bridgewater State College, and has done graduate work at Siena College. He teaches mechanical drawing and is our assistant football coach. Among his outside interests are golf and basketball. LEO BALANDYK Mr. Balandyk is our band and orchestra leader. He attended the Contemporary School of Music in New York and played in the Eddie Duchin Orches¬ tra. His interests include fishing, swimming, and listening to high fidelity recordings. ANTHONY G. BALDASSARRE A.B. Mr. Baldassarre graduated with honors from Bos¬ ton University. He teaches Spanish and French but is also interested in Latin, Italian, and Portuguese. His favorite pastime is playing the organ and the piano. 12

RITA CHAMPAGNE A graduate of St. Anthony High School, Mrs. Champagne is Mr. Bither’s secretary. In her spare time she enjoys bowling and ice skating. ALEXANDER M. CLEMENT B.S., M.Ed. Mr. Clement teaches United States history at Fair- haven High School. He attended Williams College, North Adams State College, and Hyannis State Col¬ lege. An avid sports fan, Mr. Clement also enjoys studying history. HAROLD CORNFORTH, JR. B.A., M.Ed. Mr. Cornforth, a mathematics teacher at Fair- haven High School, attended Bates College and Bridgewater State College. He also took summer courses at Ohio Wesleyan College and Hamilton Col¬ lege. LOUISE F. DENNIE R.N. Mrs. Dennie, our school nurse, is a lifelong resi¬ dent of Fairhaven. She is a graduate of Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing. EDITH G. DIAS A.B. Mrs. Dias, who instructs us in the age-old lan¬ guage of Latin, graduated from Pembroke College, where she majored in French and minored in Latin. During her spare time, Mrs. Dias enjoys reading. Many of her summers have been spent touring European countries. 14
