The 1972-73 year at Fairfield was a year of change. Some traditions ceased while others began. A controversial president left, a new president took office. A class of once all men graduated among handfuls of women, and a once enraged student body quieted in a pas- sive, accepting atmosphere. A new dorm was christened, and a new price tag was placed upon education. The migrating stag settled down. No more joumeys to Marymount of Manhattanville. When it was evident that the stag was finally exhausted, he bounded to Madison Square Garden in an overwhelming spirit of enthusiasm-a sudden, but welcome change. Strangely enough, the changes in our lim- ited university world were merely a reflec- tion of the changes in our country. The marathon war in Viet Nam ended, while 18 year olds were dubbed adults. A water gate burst which made Americans realize that fur- ther change must occur. It is in this context that we dedicate this 1973 Manor to change, for the only true con- stant is change. 7 129325
