OTHER HIGHLIGHTS DF 1951 Here we are highlighting some co-curricular activities which occurred dur- ing the year. Some of these activities are of such nature as to remain in the limelight, while others were highlighted only momentarily They all have significance. They will all be remembered.

Early in September of l95O, Miss Joan Crawford, an eighth grade student in our school, was selected as Queen in a con- test sponsored by the National Kids' Day Foundation in close co-operation with the Kiwanis Club International. As Queen, her reward was an expense-tree trip to Hollywood, California, where, on Septem- ber 23, she was crowned by one of l-lol lywood's dignitaries, Queen Joan is presented with lovely bouquet by one of Hollywood-'s beau- ties.
